At Mountainaire RV Park, we’re all about family!
We have two families working together in our park, that we also call home. Our park boasts 40 acres of beautiful Vancouver Island Wilderness and 120 well maintained sites. We are centrally located on Vancouver Island in a family oriented, quiet (no highway noise), rustic style atmosphere, that is out in the country, yet minutes from the city.
Our park is a kid-friendly space with bike friendly roads, an excellent playground, and a great little fishing pond. In the summertime, young campers can watch millions of tadpoles hatch in the pond and witness an unbelievable number of the endangered Western Toad toadlets make there migration from the pond, through to the forest. It is a fun and fascinating sight to see. Great for the whole family!
During the hot summer months , when you really need to cool down, take advantage of the best swimming hole on the Nanaimo River. It’s just a short walk through the incredible surroundings of the Vancouver Island Rainforest and is a favourite spot for swimming and cliff diving. Friday nights in July and August are Movie Nights. Kids vote during the day for the movie they would like to watch that night and there is free popcorn for everyone!
We also have games that the adults will enjoy!

Why not make it a family affair and challenge the kids against the parents! An excellent opportunity to make some lasting memories.
On those occasional rainy days, head on over to the store to play in the great Retro Arcade with games, pinball and crane machines. The stuffy machine is a hit with kids and adults alike. And yes, you can win at this thing!
Don’t forget to check out our event calendars. From weekend movies in summer to Thanksgiving pig roast, from Easter egg hunt, May fireworks to Father’s day catch and release, you will always find great fun in Mountainaire Campground and RV Park.
No matter the time of year, you will always find our incredible staff there to help you with whatever you need. We strive to provide everyone with an enjoyable, memorable, and safe visit to Mountainaire RV Park. With the owners living on site, we maintain security and a quiet environment. The gates are closed at night, with no driving, lights, or noise after 10:00 pm.
